Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager you would direct and coordinate overall operations for the processing plant. Ensuring that objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.
- Maintains plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.
- Prepares and submits operating reports to management to inform them of the current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assures effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality product.
- Selects, trains, develops, and motivates manufacturing staff to maintain plant operation.
- Assures compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.
- May set production and processing goals for plant.
Skills/Qualifications
- 7 years' directly related experience in a poultry processing plant.
- 3 or more years of Plant Management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, ERP and payroll systems.
- Detail oriented, structured, and able to communicate effectively. Ability to work within timelines and in pressured situations.
- Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills, excellent follow through on assigned tasks required for this position.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must posess demonstrated ability to work within timelines and in high pressure situations.
- Excellent follow through on assigned tasks.
- Must be able to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
