Nesco Resource is seeking qualified candidates for available Quality Inspector openings with a Parts Machining Company in the Livonia/Plymouth, Michigan area.
Shift: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday with possible OT Fridays
Pay: 18 to 20/hr, based on level of experience
Please Note: Travel to different plant sites is REQUIRED for the role (all sites are located within a 10-mile radius)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct initial piece and in-process inspections on parts
- Generate dimensional and inspection documentation results and determine if parts meet compliance requirements
- Perform part setup and execute CMM programs to measure machined and cast products
- Possess the basic understanding of GD&T measures and blueprint interpretation
- Document and email end-of-shift reports including any issues found as required.
- Basic use and maintenance of handheld and attribute gages
- Ability to track gages and maintain calibration records
- Perform inspections on incoming parts and final shipping dock inspections as necessary.
- Perform layer checks, line inspections, STP, and final audits.
- Perform layer process audits as scheduled.
- Ensure compliance measures are being followed and met under IATF16949 and ISO14001 protocols
- Follow general safety rules and Company policies and procedures.
- Perform Special Assignments as delegated.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years prior Manufacturing Experience, required
- Previous Quality Inspection experience, required
- Knowledge of compliance protocols
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints
- Basic math and computer skills, required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
