Job Summary:

The Recruiting Specialist supports the HR department and facility leadership by managing full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, payroll support, and benefits coordination across multiple business units. This role is essential in helping the organization meet staffing and retention goals and in enhancing the overall talent acquisition strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Staffing:

  • Design and implement recruiting strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.

  • Source candidates through schools, media, job boards, and recruitment programs.

  • Prepare job postings and recruitment materials; manage postings across platforms.

  • Organize and attend hiring events; oversee marketing and outreach efforts.

  • Administer full-cycle recruiting: screen, interview, test, extend offers, and coordinate pre-employment screening and onboarding.

  • Manage internal job bidding process per collective bargaining agreements.

HR Support & Operations:

  • Provide general HR support to divisional HR Business Partners.

  • Conduct onboarding, new hire orientations, and assist with employee training programs.

  • Track and maintain position and headcount data accurately.

  • Prepare and deliver weekly staffing and retention reports.

  • Support payroll and benefits functions as needed.

  • Act as subject matter expert for group insurance programs and assist with employee enrollment.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure adherence to all employment laws, internal policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Identify opportunities for HR process improvements and contribute to system optimization.

  • Maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment in handling sensitive information.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma (required)

  • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years of HR, recruiting, customer service, or administrative experience (required)

  • Previous experience recruiting in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality

  • Data-driven mindset with interest in analytics and continuous process improvement
