Job Title: HR Generalist III - Centralia, MO

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist III is responsible for executing day-to-day Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, policy enforcement, and compliance. This role partners with plant leadership to foster a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, employee engagement, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Support:

  • Provide daily HR support and serve as a key resource to manufacturing employees

  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain high engagement

  • Advise management on employee relations matters and disciplinary actions

  • Ensure clear communication of company policies and HR procedures

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Recruit, screen, and hire qualified candidates in collaboration with department managers

  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation

  • Conduct new hire orientations and oversee employee recognition programs

  • Manage background checks and employment eligibility verifications

  • Support the College Internship Program including campus recruiting and event coordination

Engagement & Performance:

  • Lead wellness and engagement initiatives across the plant

  • Coordinate and manage performance review cycles to ensure fairness and compliance

  • Collaborate with leadership on job descriptions and compensation updates

HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Support timekeeping and attendance accuracy to ensure payroll alignment

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Collaborate with HR business partners, Centers of Excellence (CoE), and cross-functional teams (Legal, IT, Finance) to deliver HR services


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Management (preferred)

  • 3 years of progressive HR experience (required)

  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Union experience a plus

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive conversations with discretion and professionalism

  • High integrity and commitment to confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems preferred
