This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of New York's leading litigation defense firms. Our employees work with prominent trial lawyers in representing hospitals, university medical centers, physicians, nurses, dentists, oral surgeons and other health care professionals in medical and dental liability actions.
Responsibilities:

  • Support billing operations of the firm by ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of invoices issued to clients and resolve any billing related issues
  • Review attorney and paralegal billing entries with revision to billing rate and legal description to invoice if needed, before submission
  • Review, revise (and generate, when needed) proformas/invoices to conform to client billing guidelines/requirements, including gathering supporting documentation.
  • Review and analyze rejected invoices and prepare for resubmission
  • Communicate with examiners and clients on billing inquiries
  • Manage client AR and follow up with any inquiries related to invoice appeals, assist in independent audits for clients
  • Review and comply with insurance carrier requirements (monitor/reconcile budgets, rate approval requests)
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in a legal setting (medical malpractice defense focus preferred)
  • Elite Enterprise and/or 3E experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills ( written and oral)

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law
