Job Title: Mold Process Technician
Location: West Henrietta, NY
Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced and motivated Injection Molding Process Technician to join the team of one of our top clients in the manufacturing industry. This temp-to-perm position will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of injection molding machines, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of product quality. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a strong technical understanding of injection molding and equipment troubleshooting. Shift: Day Shift
Pay Range: $28 to $30 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, start up, and shut down injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Adjust process parameters to enhance cycle times, improve product quality, and reduce waste.
- Handle mold changes and machine setups with precision to meet production timelines.
- Oversee ongoing production runs, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Support the development of new tools and processes, including documenting and refining those procedures.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to address any product or tooling issues and maintain production standards.
- Keep accurate records of machine settings, process modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Provide training to machine operators on basic troubleshooting and effective machine operation techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the production process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical degree or certification in plastics, manufacturing, or a similar field is preferred.
- At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with various materials, including thermoplastics, engineered resins, and additives.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and process documentation.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime if necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day.
- Exposure to typical manufacturing environments, including noise, heat, and moving machinery.
