Position Title: Propane Forklift/Warehouse Associate

Shift:1st-M-Thur 5am-3:30pm
Forklift: Sit-Down Propane EXPERIENCE MUST
General Description:
The Production Material Handler I is responsible for keeping production lines supplied with packaging materials (e.g., bottles, tubes, caps, shippers). This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams within the organization and a flexible work schedule to meet company demands.

Material Handling & Supply:

Ensure production lines are supplied with correct packaging materials (bottles, tubes, caps, shippers) by pulling materials from the staging area and placing them at the production line using a pallet jack.

Remove finished goods from packaging lines using a pallet jack or forklift as needed and place them in the inventory staging area.

Inspection & Verification:
-
Visually inspect packaging materials to verify proper artwork. Compare to the artwork verification form and record on the form.
-
Check that each pallet is properly stretch-wrapped, and re-wrap pallets if necessary.

Count and correctly label unused packaging materials for restocking.
-
Document counts for each full and partial pallet in the material handler log by hand.

Labeling & Documentation:

Create labels using the ERP system and print them from the computer.

Verify and manually apply the correct label to each finished goods pallet.

Inventory Management:
-
Return unused packaging materials to the restock area with a pallet jack at the end of each batch.

Maintain proper organization of packaging materials in the staging and restock areas.

Safety & Compliance:
-
Use company-approved personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for various tasks.

Comply with company SOPs, policies, and safety guidelines.

Team Support & Additional Tasks:

Relieve Production Workers when needed or directed by the supervisor.

Assist Lead Production Workers in gathering finished product samples.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
-
Knowledge of cGMPs (21CFR 111, 117, 210, and 211) and ISO standards.

Knowledge of safe forklift operation or ability to be trained to operate a forklift safely.

Knowledge of safe operation of manual and electric pallet jacks.

Ability to operate a computer and print pallet tags from the ERP system.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Ability to read SOPs and machine manuals.

Ability to perform simple math to count products accurately.

Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from floor level to shoulder height or vice versa.

Ability to stand or walk for up to four (4) hours at a time.

Visual acuity for inspecting artwork, pallets, and pallet tags.

Ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, pull, twist, and turn.

Ability to safely fit into and operate a forklift.

Ability to use controls to operate both manual and electric pallet jacks.
Education and/or Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-
A minimum of one year of forklift operating experience required.
