MON-FRI, 6:00 am-2:30 pm and 6:00 am-4:30 pm when necessary.
The primary responsibilities of this position include product handling, prepping/masking product for blast, and safe operation of air powered media blasting equipment. Operator will work in an enclosed booth, wearing protective suit, helmet, and respirator.
Job Description
A Blast Booth Operator is responsible for completing the following duties:
• Prepare metal for painting through sandblasting
• Prep/Mask parts as necessary using tape, plugs, etc.
• Perform daily non-technical maintenance routines on blast equipment
• Clean blast booth, filters, and surrounding area
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes according to safe operating procedures (with training and licensing provided)
• Other duties as assigned
Expectations of Employees
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours daily
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. regularly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (provided)
• Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
