Medical Scientific Liaison (Neurology – Alzheimer's Disease Biomarkers)
Location: Remote (Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast)

Position Overview:
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) plays a critical field-based role in executing client Neurology strategy by serving as the primary scientific and medical liaison between Core Lab MSA teams and external stakeholders (clinicians, laboratorians, and healthcare providers). Focused primarily on Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and fluid biomarkers, the MSL facilitates education, engagement, and scientific exchange to drive better patient outcomes and faster access to diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
Scientific Education & Support

Stay abreast of developments in neurology and relevant diagnostics.

Educate clinicians and lab personnel on Roche's neurology portfolio, with emphasis on AD blood-based biomarkers.

Present scientific data and disease-state education to primary care and specialist audiences.

Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries in a fair and balanced manner.

Support product launches with educational initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Insight Gathering

Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic experts, and community providers.

Execute strategic engagement plans aligned with Medical Affairs goals.

Gather and share field insights to inform internal teams.

Support planning and execution of scientific events (symposia, webinars, advisory boards).

Attend and represent Roche at key regional and national conferences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Disease Area and Scientific Leads to develop and execute medical strategies.

Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure aligned messaging and support for field activities.

Aid in evidence generation, publication planning, and medical communications.
Qualifications:
Required:

Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MSN, BSN) with 3–5 years of clinical, academic, or industry experience.

Experience or foundational knowledge in neurology; ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Willingness to travel up to 75% and live within the assigned territory.
Preferred:

1 year of MSL experience in diagnostics or pharmaceuticals.

Specific experience with Alzheimer's Disease diagnostics and neurology therapeutic area.
