At Nesco Resource, the health and well-being of our candidates, associates, and employees remain a top priority. We know that the emergence and spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, has disrupted the lives of people across the world.
Our top priority remains to keep everyone we work with safe and healthy, and keep businesses running with the least disruption possible. To that end, we are following CDC recommendations closely and all of our policies are in line with their guidelines.
During this time, we at Nesco Resource are committed to a Healthy Workforce and Business Continuity.
For Candidates and Temporary Employees/Associates
As a valued member of the Nesco Resource team, your health and well-being are a top priority. Please note the following:
- Please remain vigilant about washing hands for 20-seconds, covering your mouth when sneezing and coughing, disinfect surfaces, avoid unnecessary contact like shaking hands, and stay home when sick.
- If you are experiencing flu or cold-related respiratory symptoms, or believe you may have come into contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19, we request for you to stay at home at this time and coordinate your care through your healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider with guidance from the CDC will give you direction on when it is appropriate to return to work.
- We recommend using telemedicine if possible, which includes nurse phone lines and virtual/online appointments.
- If you believe you may have been exposed to or contracted COVID-19, we encourage you to discuss affordable testing options with your healthcare provider. Insurance companies may cover some or all of the test, and many hospital networks are also offering free or low-cost testing options.
- In the event you are experiencing the above noted symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify your location supervisor and your Nesco recruiter or branch.
- In the event your current employment is affected due to COVID-19, Nesco Resource will make all efforts to find you a new employment opportunity.
For Clients
First, we want thank our clients for the continued partnership. Nesco Resource is taking measures to ensure the continuity of your business and the safety of all of our people as we navigate the circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
- We have already implemented measures with guidance from the CDC to ensure a healthy work environment including: making sanitizer readily available, encouraging social distancing, reducing in-person meetings, postponing client events and restricting travel.
- We also recommend following all CDC guidelines for making your workplace as safe and healthy as possible. You can find more information here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/workplace-school-and-home-guidance.pdf
- We are encouraging associates to stay home if they are feeling ill and to disclose to Nesco Resource and Nesco Resource clients if they have been diagnosed or directly exposed to COVID-19.
We are actively screening all applicants to ensure that prior to placement, they have not exhibited signs of COVID-19 nor have come into contact with anyone who may have contracted COVID-19.
For Nesco Nation Employees
In addition to the CDC recommendations, Nesco Resource is taking additional steps to prioritize the health of all Nesco Nation employees (branch, service center, and corporate employees). Beginning March 12 and running through March 31, 2020, we will take the following precautions:
- If any Nesco Nation employee is experiencing flu or cold-related respiratory symptoms, or believe they may have come into contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19, we request them to work from home. If the severity of your illness or the illness of a family member prevents you from working remotely, you will receive your regular pay while you are out-of-the-office recovering. We simply ask for you to discuss your plans with your direct supervisor in these situations and to consult your healthcare provider before returning to the office.
- Nesco Nation employees are also permitted to work from home as part of social distancing or to attend to child care. Please let your supervisor know if you will be working remotely.
- Nesco Resource is temporarily halting all non-essential business travel. We encourage the use of video conferencing and other online collaboration tools to carry out daily business where possible.
- Training that is typically delivered in-person at our National Training Center will be moved to an online platform.
- We recommend using telemedicine if possible, which includes nurse phone lines and virtual/online appointments.
